Music
Alongside writing, directing, and acting, I am a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with a BA in sound production and commercial music. As part of a rock band, I toured across the UK, including the O2 Academy venues, and performed at festivals, including Download, T in the Park and Celtic Connections. Our live shows received positive reviews from the likes of Kerrang! and RockSound.
The Banks of the Clyde

Written and recorded during my time at the Glasgow School of Art, as part of an audiovisual project detailing Glasgow’s history of shipbuilding. Recorded at home using an acoustic guitar, looped ambient electric guitars, and stretched vocals to create a synthesised choir sound. The fragile lead vocal is supported throughout by tight, multitracked harmonies.

Released as a bonus track on my 2013 EP My Life & 8mm. Recorded at home in a few hours using my old acoustic guitar and a second-hand telecaster with very cheap pick-ups. The track currently has over 300,000 streams on SoundCloud.
Sugar Glass

Released as a single in 2011 after a run of festival appearances and a UK tour. The instruments and backing vocals were tracked by Neil Martin in the SSL studio at New College Lanarkshire. The lead vocals were recorded at home. The track was mixed and mastered by Jason Wilson at Stakeout Studios.
